One from my personal collection. This special box is a combination of a few of my favorite things: books, stone, the color green, and old things :)
This book box opens with a hinged top and is lined with wood. I am not entirely certain, but I believe the stone is green onyx. The spine, "pages," and hinges are iron.
It is very heavy for its size. Perfect for holding little treasures.

The box is sturdy and the hinge functions properly. It appears as though the stone has been repaired at one time, as shown in the photos.
