A beautiful gilt silver locket featuring a carnelian heart on one side and a hand engraved design on the other side. Circa mid-late 19th century.
One side has a frame for holding a photo in place. A very unique piece!

Lovely condition overall with some minor patina and age-related wear. Some very faint surface scratches on the carnelian stone, not really visible except on close inspection. Some soldering repairs at he seams, mostly visible on the inside only. The hinge is tight and functions well.
