Late Victorian Bodice For Study/Display

Beautiful late Victorian bodice circa 1890s. Black pattern on midnight blue with black velveteen trim and silk collar, cuffs.

Much of this piece is hand sewn. Hook and eye closures run down the front.

There is no boning.

17.5" armpit to armpit

16" across waist

15" length

Best for study / display or possible photo shoot if handled with care.

The material is delicate, though not shattering. The cuffs are very worn.

Small hole in one armpit. A tear in the lining that looks like it possibly was made intentionally to alter the waist and make it larger, as the edges are finished.

Overall it presents beautifully.
