What a wonderful lot of antique buttons! So many fun designs, picture buttons, many on their original cards, many matching sets. Would be perfect for someone who does a lot of restoration projects.
Also included is a bundle of reed boning, some rolls of wool tape, ribbon, hooks and eyes, and some baby socks. The wool tape and ribbon are in poor condition (nibbled nearly to death, sadly!), but the holders are quite cool and could be repurposed, and perhaps some scraps of the ribbon could be salvaged.
These came to me in one lot, and I'd love to keep them together.
One of my favorite things in the lot is a batch of 10 silver tone crescent moon celestial buttons! I actually had a hard time letting go of these when I spotted them amongst the loose pieces.
I counted over 500 individual pieces (buttons, not cards)--stopped counting at 500, but there are more than that. In addition, there are around 25 pieces of boning. Two small packages of two hair combs. Two pairs of baby socks. Thirteen rolls of tape/ribbon.
The little bowl holding the loose buttons is not included with this lot, but everything else is!

The buttons are in mostly good condition, though a bit dusty and some have obvious patina from age. Could be cleaned or left as is. Most of the cards are in very poor condition and falling apart. I've done my best to keep them intact, but they crumble when handled.
Ribbons are in poor condition, but the holders could be reused.
