A beautiful pocket sized book titled "Gift For Mourners" circa mid 19th century. On the inside cover page the title is written as "Cecil and Flavel's Gift For Mourners."
Comes with the lock of hair found with the book, sewn onto a small sheet of paper along with some colorful strands of yarn, obviously of sentimental value.
The paper has some writing on it, including what looks like a name (perhaps Sarah? last name I couldn't make out).
The pages have gilded edges. Cover has a moire/watered silk finish.
It was published by the American Tract Society, which was founded in 1825, but the book itself does not have a publication date in it, nor have I been able to find a record of its publishing date. I estimate its date to be mid 19th century.
