Lovely Georgian era hairwork brooch with very finely woven flaxen hair. The setting is solid silver and the stones are black faceted glass. Circa 1810-1840.
I almost never see this in silver, and the blond hair is also quite rare. A lovely piece.
The frame and beveled glass is removable should you desire to add your own memento.
