This beautiful 14k gold ring features a stunning foil backed rose cut diamond as its centerpiece.
Circa early 19th century, either Georgian or early Victorian era. It has a closed back setting, topped with silver.
The inside of the band is marked with a hallmark that I have been able to trace to Romania. I believe this ring could have been made before Romania was officially established--prior to 1859 before the union of Wallachia and Moldavia--so it is possible this piece was hallmarked some decades after it was made.
Tested as 14k gold.
