This gorgeous 18k gold Georgian era acrostic ring is so special. If you are unfamiliar with acrostic jewelry, it uses gemstones to spell out a word, most commonly REGARD and ADORE.

These pieces became popular in the Georgian era (c. 1714-1837), and this piece likely dates from the late Georgian period, around the 1820s-30s.
It is unmarked but tests for at least 18k gold. The stones I believe are paste, but the diamond is real.

Although the stones are quite worn, the ring is in very good condition overall and wearable with care. It is an incredibly special piece and I find the worn stones to be very charming--a sign that this was a well-loved and cherished piece of jewelry.
