A very ornate eyeglasses case circa 18th century.
The case is hand painted over tortoise shell with gold accents.
Four separate little scenes are depicted on the case, including a young boy and a dog, as well as three ladies who appear to be doing various tasks.

Fair condition with notable flaws. The paint is crackled and chipped with some missing pieces. Otherwise the case is sturdy and intact.
