Lovely silk cape or capelet circa 1890s with a ruffled collar and red silk lining.
Very vampy colors and a lovely subtle design to the silk. The back is pleated and the collar fastens with two hooks/eyes.

Lovely condition overall with some minor flaws to note:
- Some wear to the silk inside the collar area and in a few other small areas of the lining
- A few small light marks and tiny wear spots on the back/side of the cape
- Fraying to the edges of the silk ribbon
- The pleating on the back has a small place where the stitching has come loose
Wearable with care. The silk is still quite strong and very soft.
