Absolutely gorgeous red leather oxfords circa 1890s.
These beauties are in fabulous condition and are a striking color.
The 1890s is my favorite decade for fashion, and that includes the shoes! This diamond toe stitching pattern is really wonderful, and often found on boots and shoes from this era.
I don't often come across shoes of this age in this well-preserved condition. They were obviously cherished and loved, and I hope they will continue to be in their next home!

Sizing on shoes is always approximate, and I urge you to take careful measurements and ask any questions prior to purchasing.
These are marked 4 1/2D, and I believe these are an approximate modern size 5.5-6 US women's, but please check the following measurements.
8 3/4" inner sole length
2 5/8" width measured across the bottom of the sole at the ball of the foot, and 8 1/2" circumference at the same spot measured from the outside
1 1/4" heel

Lovely condition overall with only minor age-related wear. The leather is still extremely supple and soft. Some minor wear to the soles. The laces are not original.
These are wearable with care but please keep in mind they are antiques and should be treated as such. I highly recommend finding a good cobbler who can do minor repairs to your shoes (both new and antique!).
