Absolutely fantastic folding pince-nez tinted glasses by Bausch & Lomb (est. 1853). They are very lightweight and easily fold up. The lenses are a gorgeous shade of green! The lenses are not prescription.
Before the days of sunglasses, there were tinted glasses, believed by some to improve vision, but also worn for the sake of fashion by others. Some were worn as eye protection from the elements.
These would look great worn on a chain. They would have originally been clipped to a chain to hold them around the neck when not being worn.
Comes with a beautiful lacquered papier-mache case with felt lining.
