Adorable three piece dress outfit circa 1892-1893, designed for a young lady. There is a designer label in the bodice that reads "Miss A.M. Passage, Lansing, Mich.," which is where I purchased the dress!
The dress consists of a bodice, skirt, and capelet, cream with olive green velvet trim and accents.
The bodice has balloon sleeves and a unique, flattering fitted style reminiscent of a swiss waist belt. The bodice is lined with cotton and boned, and has both buttons and hook and eye closures.
The skirt is full at the back and has hook and eye closures as well as hooks to attach to the bodice. It is lined with buckram.
The capelet has hook and eye closures at the collar and is lined with olive green silk to match the olive green velvet trim.
I was able to find a mention of Miss A.M. Passage, modiste, in 1890 and 1892 newspaper advertisements, both from the Lansing State Journal. I have included these clippings in the photos (these are digital "clippings" and are not included with the dress).

Likely best for study or display. Fair condition with some notable wear, as shown and described.
Some stains throughout. Wear and thinning in the fabric on the bodice and around the waistband of the skirt.
Some missing closures on the skirt. Loose threads on the green velvet bands and some separation.
A few repairs, some fabric added the the lining of the bodice. Torn lining on one side.
