Beautiful beaded mantle or cape circa 1870s-1880s.
Wool or wool blend with a lovely silk fringe and glass beads. Buttons down the center front with four covered buttons. Unlined.
A very versatile piece, this is somewhere between a coat and a cape. There are no armholes but the shape/cut of the piece is more tailored than that of a simple cape.
