Fabulous white fabric boots c. late 1860s to very early 1870s (my best estimate is around 1870) with bows and buckles on the toes.
The details on these boots are really wonderful! I love the scalloped top edge and the ivy leaf and vine design on the buckles.
Since these are fabric rather than leather, and white, I think it's likely these were worn as a summer shoe. They're rather fancy and still in very good condition, so I would image they were for special occasions. Some minor wear to the soles indicate they were at least worn once or twice.
Their small size could indicate they were for a younger woman, but I don't think they are necessarily children's shoes, as they do appear to be in the same style as other women's extant shoes from the time period.

Lovely condition for their age with expected age-related wear and some minor flaws.
Some discoloration/staining throughout, and some of the soft leather is peeling off of the heels.
