This stunning aide-memoire or notebook circa mid-19th century features a gorgeous carved mother of pearl cover and watered silk interior, as well as a small pencil.
Carving depicts a seated woman overlooking a cityscape.
Inside the small notebook (10 pages including inside covers) there is a French stamp which reads:

Interestingly enough, it seems as though this address is where the first croissants were sold between 1837 and 1839. At least that's what came up when I researched this address! This piece seems to date from a bit later than that, but I cannot find any information by searching the text.
