A fabulous silk top hat circa turn of the century, late 19th-early 20th, in its original leather case.
The hat is finely made and stamped with the maker "Delion" from Paris, imported for Marshall Field & Company.
Inside the brown leather case is a surprisingly rich red, quilted silk lining. A strap holds the hat securely in place, ideal for travel. A sticker on the outside of the case reads "Cardiff," potentially a travel destination of its original owner.

Great condition overall with some minor age related wear. Small seam separation on the interior and what looks to be a small burn as well (as pictured). The leather case shows minor wear as well. Both hat and case are wearable and usable respectively with care.
