Stunning cream colored stockings with beautiful floral embroidery on the front.
Stockings are a bit difficult to date, as they did not change much in style over a few decades, but I have seen similar designs with this kind of embroidery in catalogs from the 1870s up until the 1910s.
I did not find any markings, aside from a very faded stamp inside the top, which may be a number 6, but I can't quite make it out.
I am not sure of the fabric content. They may be a silk or silk blend. They are soft with a bit of stretch.

22" tall from base of heel to the top of the stockings

Lovely condition for their age with some minor flaws to note:
- Several small mends and a few scattered tiny holes
- Some faint discoloration/staining, but nothing major
- A bit of missing thread in a few places in the embroidery
These are wearable with care, but would also be beautiful for display or as study pieces.
