One of the most fabulous pieces I've ever come across, this carved angel skin coral fist pendant is beautiful in itself--but the wonderful, delicate snake bracelet around its wrist makes it so much more special!
Circa mid-late 19th century, the findings are brass and sterling silver (the bale is a newer replacement).
Inside the fist there is a hole, through which you could thread a small wire. It would be fabulous to make this piece into charm holder! My jeweler would be able to do this, should you so choose. Contact me for details.
