Incredible bifold spiderweb pocketbook from 1888. It opens up to reveal a calendar (in German, I think) and silk lined pockets.
The cover is truly beautiful, depicting a spider and her web and the year. I imagine this would be a really lovely piece to have framed.

Condition is fair. This was a well loved and well used piece in its day. The leather has wear along the fold and the edges. The pockets on the inside have some tearing around the edges and have come unstitched in a few places.
It is a delicate piece overall and would be best for display.
