Very unique two piece set that may have been a traveling dress. It consists of a skirt and long bustled dress to go over it.
Lovely lavender striped calico with an absolutely fabulous patterned calico sleeve lining that wouldn't be seen when worn of course, but it is a really fun print.
Skirt is fairly simple with ruffled hem. Dress has hook and eye closures at the bodice and shell buttons that open all the way down the side to the hem.
Ties inside the skirt of the dress to arrange the bustle properly. Skirt of the dress also has a pocket.

Overall the condition is good for her age, but I would not recommend this piece for normal wear, though it could be wearable with extra care for a photoshoot.
The cotton seems to have been starched at some point, and I think this would make it more likely to tear.
There are several stains throughout, as shown. A couple of tiny holes and thin places adjacent to the buttons. One button near the bottom has been sewn in place. No closure on the skirt waist.
Overall she presents beautifully and would be a fantastic piece for study, display, pattern making, or inspiration.
