Lovely mid-1800s dress circa 1850s-1860s.
It is a light, semi-sheer cotton or linen blend. The style leads me to believe it was a house dress or work dress.
Hook and eye closures down the front of the bodice. Bodice is boned. Mostly hand sewn.
There is a pocket in the skirt!

33" bust, 21" waist, 60" length from top of back collar to bottom hem.

Some of the hooks are loose and there are a few missing at the waist. A few very small stains, some small holes near the hem of the skirt, and one tiny hole on the front of the bodice.
There is wear along the hem, also, as shown in the photos.
Condition overall is very good, especially considering her age!
I have not cleaned this dress, and although I have aired it out, it may have a faint odor of mothballs.
