It is not only extremely comfortable to wear, but you may find it gives you spectral tendencies. It has an inner bodice, which is where we have measured the bust and waist. However, the outer dress is loose (with free hips), and the belt is used to cinch the waist to your desired size.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe high collar closes with a hook and thread at the base of the neck. Please check the collar circumference measurement to make sure this will fit comfortably. Due to the pleating on the back, the dress fits best when it is not tight around the shoulders, so check the shoulder measurement (measured between the seams, across the back) to ensure a good fit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eSee the size chart below for measurements (for a larger image, see the last photograph in the listing). The measurements listed are the measurements of the actual garment, so keep that in mind when choosing your size. Hand washing or dry cleaning recommended.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHand washing in cold water and air drying is how I have cleaned mine, but due to the nature of cotton and its tendency to wrinkle, and the design of the dress with its many pleats, the dress will need to be pressed after washing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIf washing rather than dry cleaning, you should also account for 1\/2\" to 1\" of shrinkage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOne aspect of care that I want to mention is that limiting your washing and\/or dry cleaning of this piece will greatly improve its longevity. That is why I'm including a pair of dress shields with every dress! (handmade made with super soft organic cotton flannel)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIf you're unfamiliar with dress shields, they have been around a long time and are designed to help absorb underarm sweat to keep the dress from staining and also so you don't have to wash your clothing as frequently. Dress shields are little triangles of padded fabric that you can sew or pin into your dress or blouse. They can easily be removed and washed separately.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIf you have a clothing steamer, it's a great way to quickly and easily remove wrinkles between wears.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAnd lastly, I hope you will cherish this dress for years to come, mending when the need arises and altering it if necessary.
